Organized by Competitor Group, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series is the ‘World’s Largest Running Series’ with more than 550,000 runners taking part in events around the world every year.
Started in 1998, the simple idea of making running fun has transformed the U.S. running landscape by infusing the course with live bands, cheer teams and entertaining water stations, creating a block-party atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
Today, the series of marathons and half marathons has spread to 30 destination cities, drawing visitors from around the world. Over the 19-year history of the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series, charity participants have raised more than $335 million for a variety of worthy causes and nonprofit organizations.
Race weekend kicks off with a free Health & Fitness Expo with numerous exhibitors offering samples and showcasing the latest in running gear, sports apparel, health and nutritional information and much more. Events culminate with an entertaining finish line festival featuring some of the biggest names in music, with headliners like Snoop Dogg, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pitbull, and FloRida.

The race is the only private event to exclusively shut down the Las Vegas Strip at night. Race highlights include all of the must-see Vegas sights such as the iconic 'Welcome to Las Vegas' sign, the Fountains of Bellagio, and finishing at the foot of the Mirage volcano.

- Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas 10K (Sunday): Just before the Marathon and Half Marathon gets underway on Sunday, the 10K participants will start on Las Vegas Blvd. next to Sahara Las Vegas
- Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas ½ Marathon (Sunday): Start is between Harmon and Park Ave., runners head south toward the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, turn and head north up the Strip before heading through downtown. The end of the race will again be near The Mirage.
- The 5K starts on Carson and Las Vegas Boulevard and finishes at Fremont Street Experience by SlotZilla. The Saturday night race runs through Container Park’s idyllic open-air shopping center and the iconic 40-foot, fire-breathing Praying Mantis sculpture, with bands and entertainment interspersed every mile. Participants who run both nights earn glowing, Casino-inspired medals for each distance and a third Remix Challenge medal for completing two races
