Numerous major marathons are planned for this changeable spring month. But also over shorter distances there are several opportunities to run best times.
International highlights this month include the marathons in Paris, Boston, Rotterdam and Madrid.
Many marathons in the U.S.
There are many other high-profile events in the U.S. besides the Boston Marathon. There is the Nashville Marathon, the Maui Marathon and the Big Sur International Marathon. For triathletes, there is the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 in Texas.
So much choice in Germany
If you want to run a marathon in Germany in April, you are spoiled for choice. For example, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Freiburg, Hanover, Hamburg, Königstein, Leipzig and the Spreewald are all hosting major marathons. Best times over the half marathon distance can also be run at the Berlin Half Marathon, the Wilhelmsburg Island Run, the Airport Night Run Berlin, the Landshut Half Marathon or the Heidelberg Half Marathon. For those who want to enjoy nature, we recommend the Kyffhäuser Berglauf or the Hermannslauf in Bielefeld. Fans of obstacle courses will get their money's worth at the Spartan Race in Munich.
